Script to finding details of Oracle 11g RAC interconnect

If you want to find the exact value used by Oracle 11g RAC for the private network interconnect, you can query the X$KSXPIA table as shown below

SQL> SELECT INST_ID, NAME_KSXPIA, IP_KSXPIA, PICKED_KSXPIA
  2  FROM X$KSXPIA;

   INST_ID NAME_KSXPIA     IP_KSXPIA        PICKED_KSXPIA
---------- --------------- ---------------- -----------------------------------
         1 bond1                            192.168.3.140                        OCR
         1 bond0                            192.168.10.40                        OCR

If the value for the PICKED_KSXPIA column from X$KSXPIA displays OCR, then setting for the network interface was configured from the OCR. However, if the value returned is CI, then setting was derived from the CLUSTER_INTERCONNECTS parameter.

Another way of finding the same information is shown below

SQL> SELECT * FROM V$CONFIGURED_INTERCONNECTS;

NAME            IP_ADDRESS       IS_ SOURCE
--------------- ---------------- --- -------------------------------
bond1           192.168.3.140    NO  Oracle Cluster Repository
bond0           192.168.10.40    YES Oracle Cluster Repository
